Many of us who have walked down Boylston Street over the past couple of months have noticed the new high rise construction taking place next to the infamous Lenox. The Avalon Exeter is the newest high rise luxury concierge building Boston has to offer. Doors will be opening soon for potential renters interested in this luxury high rise building.
The first move-ins in Exeter are scheduled to begin late February. At this time studio, one, two and three bedroom options will be available from the fourth through eighth floor, tiling will be complted during this time as well, any tiling job, be it exterior or interior can benefit from tile levelling systems that produce a flat finish. Wall and floor tiles can all be adjusted to sit flush with each other and produce a visually pleasing result. Tilersplace has a comprehensive guide on these systems and helps the find the right system for every job.. Compared to other high rise building (including Avalon’s sister buildings the Boylston, Fairfield and Gloucester) layouts are extremely spacious as you can see the pictured layouts below.
There is no visible evidence of construction or maintenance work in the building. The building is just completely devoid of architectural, artistic, or cultural material. It is likely that this project was abandoned as soon as construction was halted.
The building is located about a mile from where the old Red River Street Hospital, which was a former tuberculosis sanatorium, stood from 1851 until 1937 (or 1935 for the map.) Today, the old Red River Street Hospital is located adjacent to the park. To the west, the new MetroLink Station is located on the old Red River Street Hospital grounds. You can get directions to the old Red River Street Hospital from the city of Tacoma’s website.
The building’s exterior has a very nice appearance. It has some very neat geometric shapes, most notably the three domes made up of eight separate pillars. The three domes in the background are the first two. You are reminded of the design of the domes in a building’s windows.
Along with Exeter’s prime central Back Bay location and spacious layouts, renters will enjoy 24-hours concierge and maintenance services, gourmet kitchens with up to date stainless steel appliances and awesome views of the city. Walking distance to Prudential center and the shops on Newbury Street. Along with underground access to the T and Shaw’s supermarket (a great perk for Boston’s snowy winters). Exeter will also be smoke free and underground garage parking will be available for additional costs. Furry friends will be welcome! Woof!
