The Financial District of Boston, Massachusetts, United States is located in the downtown area near Government Center and Chinatown. The area includes Post Office Square, the Exchange Place and International Place complexes, and the landmark Custom House Tower (now a private condominium). Financial District has no official definition. It is roughly bounded by Atlantic, State Street ,and Devonshire Street. Believe or not but up to most of the 18th century this part of Boston was part of the Atlanitc Ocean.
