Joe Garvey is a Massachusetts native who grew up playing sports in local parks, gymnasiums, and ice hockey rinks and cheering his head off at Red Sox and Patriots games. New England has always been in Joe's blood from early day school trips to the Freedom Trail and walking the Esplanade. He is excited to share his passion, love, and knowledge of this region with potential homeowners.
After high school, Joe played football at Hofstra University in Long Island where he earned a degree in Political Science. His time as a Division 1 athlete, taught Joe the hard work and tenacity needed to be successful in life. He now brings that same work ethic to real estate. After Hofstra, Joe moved to Los Angeles where he tried his hand at acting, appearing in several episodes of ABC's "General Hospital," a Ford Truck commercial, and even danced alongside Jennifer Lopez. Acting taught Joe how to work within someone else's vision and deliver what they need. Joe's greatest thrill in real estate is delivering on a prospective homeowners’ vision and finding them exactly what they need.
The management team and agents at Charlesgate Realty epitomize integrity, innovation, and hard work. These values are important to Joe and, after meeting, with a few employees at Charlesgate, Joe knew there was nowhere else he wanted to be.
When Joe isn’t taking clients on showings, he is doing vinyasa yoga, hiking, paddle boarding or playing fetch with his lab mix, Edgar. He also spends time volunteering at the Greater Boston Food Bank.
